Failed on TOEFL

Today I had TOEFL exam; my emotion after the exam was not good. I was very disappointed with my scores. It was not good in listenting and reading parts. Even the score of listening is as same as my average when I took ETS tutorial. I thought I did well in writing, unfortunately, both parts was not quite good. Thus, my range was only 180 to 240. From now on, I promise to myself, I will not watch movies by reading subtitle. If I want to see a movie I have to understand from soundtrack only. And, I have to improve my reading; I have to practice a lot; I have to understand the whole story and the story's idea in few minutes. I have to overcome these obstacles to achieve my bigger target.

Cheer Up

At this moment I feel so tired because admission period for master degree is approaching. But I am still not ready for this occurrence. I think about how to finance the degree, how to end up with high score in TOEFL and GMAT, and how to develop a remarkable English fluency within few months. Then, I look for something to cheer me up, thus, I think of this song:

A New English Word A Day: A Renaissance Man

A "renaissance man" is a person who is an expert in every arts or skills. This definition was defined by a belief of the Aristotelian ideal. But after a failure of a famous scholar, for example, Leonado Da Vinci, studying in every division of knowledge, the meaning of renaissance man changed to a man who did well at more than one subject. And this brought us a new aim of educational system.

Introduction to SQLJ

What Is SQLJ?
SQLJ is a language that allows developers to write a Java application with embedded SQL statments following certain standard rules that now SQL statements can be put inside Java programs.

Development Steps with SQLJ

1. Write a SQLJ source file, for example MyClass.sqlj.
2. Run SQLJ translator to convert the SQLJ source file to a Java standard file, MyClass.java, as well as a binary SQLJ profile file, MyClass_SJProfileKeys.class, that contains information about the static SQL statements present in the SQLJ source. In this step the translator replaces SQL statements with calls to the SQLJ runtime library.
3. Compile the Java code with a Java compiler e.g., javac. This process generates MyClass.class.
4. Run the application, using the SQLJ runtime library and database-specific JDBC driver.

Study Plan - Draft Version

It has been for 3 years that I graduated from a university. Also, it should be enough to stop finding an answer for my life. Now, it's time to make a decision on my destiny.

So, I start to consider my study plan. I have to specify factors to determine my decision. Then, I can make the decision properly. What I really need is Enlish fluency. I need wholehearted confidence to say that I am fully qualified with the word "English proficientcy". That means my choice has to be an English-speaking country or an international course.

What I have to accomplish is to persuade a master degree before I am 27 years old. My intention is in a business-related or management-related course. Why it should be a business-related field? It is due to the fact that I hate myself when I do not understand economic news or market analysis. I do not understand when people talk about GDP. I cannot transform that data to valuable information.

However, I have a critical constraint to acheive my goal. I have a so small and limited budget.
